Hundred Acre Wood
Boarding and Riding

Hundred Acre Wood offers many different programs for the riding enthusiast. Our lesson program starts
in April and runs through November. Private, semi-private, group,
therapeutic, and leadline lessons are held six days a week by
appointment. Rachael does the majority of the instruction and has
been working with horses and riders for over fifteen years. Guest
instructors are often brought in for clinics and special lesson
sessions. Lessons are geared towards individual student's goals and
follow a sequential progression of riding and horse management skills.
Our leasing program is
intended for horse enthusiasts who want the enjoyment of horse
ownership without all of it's responsibilities. In-barn leases are
available as either half-leases or full-leases. A lease allows
the rider the use of the horse and facilities for a specified number of
days per week, includes a free lesson each month, and gives the lessee a
chance to build a relationship with one horse.
Pony Club, Horsemasters, and Muddy Mustangs 4H are
riding clubs that meet at Hundred Acre Wood. All are non-profit
riding organizations that emphasize safe horsemanship, riding skills,
and horse management. Horse ownership is not required for
membership in either group. For more information on either club,
visit our links page.
Clinics are offered throughout the riding season and have included topics such
as Centered Riding, dressage, jumping, and more. We strive to
bring in competent and knowledgeable clinicians who offer a fun and
educational clinic. Our clinics are affordable, include lunch, and
are available for auditing.
Our Summer camp program is
one of our most popular! We offer both day camps and overnight
camps throughout the riding season. Campers are assigned their
"own" horse and ride at least twice a day. Other activities
include arts and crafts, horse management activities and games, and
swimming. Camps are limited to 15 riders.
